Bespoke Options:

We can also offer a bespoke wine list, including rare vintage fine wines from the Director’s Cellar, should you wish to specifically choose the 5 wines you would like to taste during your experience (supplement). We would be delighted to discuss this with you at your convenience.

Food Pairing Options:

We offer canapés or something more substantial if you wish to have paired with your wines. Everything from fresh Porthilly Oysters on the half shell to Caviar, or Sashimi to cold mixed canapés, or English afternoon tea and tea cakes/sandwiches to patisseries, we can offer you a selection of restaurant quality delectables to complement and enhance the wines you are tasting (supplement/at market price). We offer as much or as little as you wish to eat and pair, which can be in lieu of your lunch or dinner on the day of your special event. We would be only too happy to tailor something to your needs, all with the freshest local or organic/free-range meat, fish and produce.

"Cigar and Whisky Finale", from £30pp:

We can offer one Scottish whisky (Abhain Dearg 10yo, Islands, Scotland) and one cigar (Davidoff Demi Tasse, premium Caribbean, Sumatra, Java, Indonesia and Brazil tobacco blend) as a finale to your Wine Tasting Experience. If you wish to choose an alternative whisky or cigar we are happy to do so (Supplement).

Bespoke Additions to your Experience, from £40pp:

We can add a Whisky Tasting Experience to your special event, comprising 3 of the whisky regions in Scotland, and/or a 2 cigar-tasting experience (one short smoke New World, one medium smoke Cuban)

Curator(s):

All our tasting experiences include a YB&C or special guest curator, who will lead the tasting. Our YB&C team members (or guest curator) will explore with you the magical wines that you have chosen. Our team are very courteous and respectful, and will tailor the timings for the order of service to fit how much time you want to be talking and learning about the wine-tasting menu versus how much time you may wish to just relax and luxuriate with your friends, having learnt much about the wines.

The Fine Print:

Service Charge:

There is a 12.5% service charge added to every YB&C Experience, which covers the planning, the “on location” set-up and dismantling costs, and the cleaning costs (yacht, glasses, linens, etc) for the Experience; or, if the Experience is in-shop, it covers the cost of closing the shop to the public for a private event.

Gratuities:

Gratuities are gladly accepted and appreciated, as a way to reward the curator(s) for making your experience delightful. Please do show your satisfaction in this way. 100% of the gratuities go directly to the curators.

Inclement Weather:

The Experience - whether on a yacht, at another private venue, or in-shop - would go ahead regardless of inclement weather. However, if the Experience were on a boat, and you wish to move it into the shop for no additional charge, you may do so only on the day of your Experience from 6 pm onward when the shop closes, at the sole discretion of YB&C.

Deposit:

We require a 50% deposit for the event, payable upon booking confirmation in writing. The remainder of the invoice is payable two weeks prior to the event. If you were to regrettably need to cancel the event, you have up [add cancellation policy time], and you would receive half of your deposit back. After [ cancellation policy time], we regret that we cannot refund your deposit. Upon booking, we will reserve the wines you wish to taste and hold them in safekeeping in our cellar until your special event. At the time of booking, YB&C will confirm that the wines above are in stock, and we will hold them in reserve until your special event. In the event the wines above are not available at the time of booking, we will reach an agreement with you on similar and appropriate wines.
