The Team
At The Yarmouth Barbers and Connoisseurs, we all have an appetite for luxury and quality. Combining the finest master barbering with the best quality menswear and items along beautiful fine wines, spirits, and cigars.
The whole team live locally and love Yarmouth and the West Wight. They are all passionate to see the area thrive and continue to grow in popularity and quality as time goes on.
The Team also cares about the environment. With the products being sourced as sustainably as possible and the packaging we use being fully recyclable.
Our Barbers
Nick started his career in the hairdressing industry aged 19 after a spell working in the equine world, following his passion for horses.
He then attended the Isle of Wight College gaining his qualifications in both ladies and gentlemen’s hairdressing. He was then offered the opportunity to join one of the Islands leading salons as an apprentice; the salon had close links with Toni and Guy London, and he was able to be schooled and trained with some of the finest names in the industry.
After a hugely successful career and making a name for himself as a master of his trade, being a true professional with an eye for attention to detail, he decided it was time to pass his wealth of knowledge and skill to the next and up and coming generation of Hairdressers and Barbers.
Following a newfound entity in education, Nick followed his new passion as a Tutor that would span a total of over 25 years. In his time, he has educated and trained many pupils, who have gone on to lead successful careers within the industry.
Nick was ready to move forward to the next stage, wanting to return to his first path, working back in industry with clients and a team of other professionals, delivering an exceptional service and experience to customers, that would build a widespread reputation.

Our Connoisseurs
Phillip Wilson has been living on the Island for more than 12 years. Having worked in hospitality for 25 years, and in some of the Island's finest establishments, it was here he developed his love and passion for fine wines which he has now pursued further in joining us here at YB&C in 2022. Phil's spare time is mostly filled by his three energetic daughters, but when he has time, he likes nothing more than sampling the delights of fine food & wine.
Will Marsh has been with us since we have opened and operates as assistant manager in the connoisseur’s section. Will developed a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for exquisite materials due to his time as a blacksmith which he still does today. These skills transfer well into the shop, as he can show an understanding for the luxury products that we have on offer. Living locally, Will has an extensive knowledge and passion of the Island and has a keen interest in the rural and coastal setting of his home.
